We are on Week 6 of our 12-week The Artist’s Way journey! As a part of our creative process, we’re jumping on Substack Live and sending a newsletter every week to talk through our past week and new goals.
In Week 5, we both had big moments of reckoning with our career paths, happiness, and what we wanted to invest in next.
✍️ How many days did you write morning pages?
Viv: 5/7 — It was nice to get back into the swing of things.
Sam: 6/7 - I felt like I really followed the rules this week…and it felt good.
👀 What was your Artist’s Date?
Sam: An afternoon reading poetry and writing outside. Then a bath that felt like heaven. I also had a good meditation on what living like a hawk would feel like.
Viv: I baked a Strawberry Shortcake on Saturday with no music playing. It gave me the opportunity to think through some creative problems I am having.
✨ Did you notice any synchronicities?
Sam: Synchroncities in what I consumed–messages to go outside, slow down, and come back to my creative identity. I’ve been struggling with what it means to “step into” leadership and unlimited possibilities. Then I viscerally felt that through the artist date moments.
Viv: Wow, yes. I went to romance author Carley Fortune’s book launch in Brooklyn last week and asked a question during the Q+A portion. Her answer was full of synchronicities that helped me feel like I was definitely in the right place at the right time.
🏃♀️➡️ What is your intention for the week?
Sam: To receive moments of luxury and notice abundance when it comes in. I want to be open to magic.
Viv: I’ve struggled with feeling abundant the last few months, so I’m diving into this week specifically with a full heart, all I have to give, and willing to receive limitless amounts of anything the Universe has for me. I’m curious with how I’ll feel at the end of it.
If you’re doing The Artist’s Way with us, we’d love to hear how it’s going! Are you keeping up with your pages? What artist dates have you gone on?
